Interview

  • How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or you are more of a homebody?
I love to travel and try to go on as many trips, short or long, as I can. I travel solo and with friends It's fun and entertaining to travel, not just for relaxation or recreation, but also to meet people and try new things.
  • What do you do for fun?
The answer to this question is best left for your imagination. :)
  • What do you enjoy most about yourself?
What I enjoy most about myself is that I am not afraid to cut my own path and that I rarely, if ever, follow the crowds. I think for myself and strive to be myself.
  • What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your spare time?
I listen to a lot of music, it's my television. I make themed playlists with solid transitions between songs; always trying to provide a soundtrack to my day.

I write poetry and take photographs. I go for hikes in all four seasons. I love being outside. I eat out and love diner.

I practice astrology, but not watered-down tabloid horoscopes... been studying it for over 12 years... interpret people's birth charts (map of the sky at the moment you were born with all your signs - you have one for each planet and your chart is as individual as your thumbprint) and draw horoscopes (interpretation of likely future events by comparing of the current position of the planets to your birth chart or the signs in general.) When done right, Astrology can be incredibly insightful. I am always willing to person's birth chart, just ask :)
  • If you have to pick one thing that everyone else should absolutely know about you, what would it be?
I don't require much in terms of any relationship, be it romantic partnership, friendship, hook-up, or client..
but I do require honesty. I would rather someone tell me the truth, even if it is something they know I won't want to hear - than to be told a lie. I can work with the truth, I can't work with a lie. Be honest, be who you are, and say what you mean are basic minimums I require. I will return the same respect to you.
  • What kind of diet and fitness regiment do you follow?
I am lucky to have a healthy metabolism and that I inherit Italian genes. I've stayed in the same weight range (140lbs - 150lbs) since high school. Doesn't mean I eat poorly though. I avoid GMO products, eat more fruit than candy, make sure I get sufficient protein and various nutrients such as potassium, vitamins, and iron. I drink a lot of coconut water and eat as much locally sourced organic food as possible. Coffee and chocolate are my biggest food vice, if you consider them a vice. :)

As far as exercise, I lift weights at least twice a week every weekend (including during Winter) I go hiking in the woods for 6-8 hours exploring, trekking, climbing, and taking pictures.
  • What makes you stand out from the crowd?
I think for myself, both studied and taught philosophy, I give genuine eye contact and listen, I tend not to like typical things, I'm uncircumcised, I'm not married to my phone and I'm not in a rush.
  • Name 5 things that you can’t live without.
Air, water, food, shelter, and sleep.

    Haha just being a smartass.

I cant live without my family/friends, music, poetry, good food, compassion/empathy.
  • If you and I were on the beach having some wine and great food, what would you tell me about yourself.
If we were on the beach (I'd make us each chilled violet saké wine and charcuterie of cheeses and dried meat) enjoy good food and drink, I'd tell you I am an astrologer, that I've been practicing for almost 20 years, that I pay attention to current planetary positions daily - especially the Moon - for guidance or to draw horoscopes, that I can interpret your birth chart, which is a map of the sky when you were born, that its as individual as your thumbprint and that you have a sign for each planet, and that it has been an invaluable skill in my life that I am very happy to share with people. I'd offer to look up your chart and tell you more about your astrology, if you wanted to know. Then I'd ask you to share something about yourself.
  • What is your ‘niche’?
Ideal would be accomplished writer or photographer, social/eating out, split-living between a lakehouse and city apartment, close to my family, and sleeping every night next to a man I trust.
  • What are your greatest personal traits?
My greatest personal traits are that I think for myself and don't follow the crowd; that I treat all people with respect and kindness; that I am passionate, intense, genuine, all or nothing Scorpio; that I am humble, yet confident; that I am patient, empathetic, and listen well; and that I am funny, quick-witted, and unassuming.
  • What should others absolutely know about you?
I respect honesty, even if what I'm told will hurt me. Authenticity is very important to me. Lying disrespects someone who otherwise trusts you and works as an aggression against yourself. I'm not phony, I mean what I say. I ask the same of others.
  • How do you go that ‘extra mile' in your life?
I go that "extra mile" in my life by being well-mannered and respectful to people, as I was taught by my parents. Please, thank you, letting someone pass before me, holding the door open for someone, listening as much as talking in conversation... these little things are not required, technically, but each could make a big difference for someone else.
  • What would you like your followers to know about you that is unique and even a bit personal?
Since May 2020, every week I explore somewhere I have never been. The places I visit are not necessarily typical tourist spots and they don't have to be. I've visited city parks, hiking trails, ocean coastlines, abandoned mental hospitals, lighthouses, cemeteries and view points to watch the Sun rise or set...to name a few. I have a map on my wall I mark up each week to show where I've been. These "hikes" are not only a lot of fun and exciting (and roughly based on The Goonies) but they're therapy for me.

I made this commitment to myself, still honoring now, to regain much of myself that had been taken from me in unhealthy relationships. Another condition is that I must go solo on each hike, to relearn how to enjoy my own company and to give to myself what I had given away undeserving for years.

I have so many stories from my hikes, as well as a portfolio of pictures I took, which I post online every week. In fact, from this, I discovered my natural eye for photography and now I'm starting a photo business.

I recommend this self-commitment to everyone: take a couple of hours a week alone, solely for you, doing something you love. The benefits are healthy and significant.
